There's always one last swim. The chairs are folded, the towels are damp, somebody's calling from the parking lot, and the water has finally gone the exact right temperature. Five more minutes. We made a pen for those five minutes.

Turtle Bay has a bright turquoise shimmer barrel with a coral reef running down it in mosaic tiles: a sea turtle with a coral-pink shell, three little striped fish above her, a gold starfish in the coral branches, a smaller turtle, a seahorse, and a trail of bubbles between them. Rose gold hardware, a chamber of crystals in clear, champagne, and pale aqua, and a light peach aurora gem on top. Hand-assembled in Texas, refillable for life.

She's a summer seasonal, here while the water's still warm.
