The Soirée started the way all good bad decisions do. A room full of well dressed strangers, a little fizz in your glass, and that feeling that something interesting was about to happen. It was whispery glances and high stakes energy, like your group chat but with better outfits.

Then Act II hit with The Telegram. The kind of message that makes you sit up straighter even if you were fully horizontal five seconds ago. Suddenly, it was clear this wasn’t a one night story. Someone was paying attention, someone was moving pieces around the board, and you were very much on the board.
