Once Upon a Fall

Every October there's one evening that decides it. The air has a bite for the first time, and you go looking for the blanket, a mug of something hot, and the book you've been saving. Nobody announces it. You just know the season has stopped passing through and started telling a story, and you're in it. Here in Texas it sometimes shows up late, so when it does, we make a fuss.

We made a pen for that evening.

Once Upon a Fall has a matte rose gold barrel printed with a red-haired fairy sitting on a red and white spotted toadstool, in a dress made of autumn leaves. Two smaller toadstools sit below her, and a golden vine winds up and down the barrel with maple leaves in yellow, orange and red. Up in the clear barrel, amber, peach, honey gold and copper crystals fill the space, with a few clear facets and a fleck of teal, and a soft peach crystal sits on top. Hand-assembled in Texas, refillable for life. It's the pen you pick up to write one line in the planner before the kettle boils.
